Deputy President William Ruto set to pick his Running Mate

Deputy President William Ruto will today pick his running mate for the August 9th 2022 presidential elections. The highly anticipated announcement will end the waiting game and allow his UDA and Kenya Kwanza coalition to focus on the presidential elections ahead.

According to reliable sources, Newsbreak can authoritatively reveal that the Kenya Kwanza leader is likely to settle on Mathira legislator, Rigathi Gachagua, Meru Senator Professor Kithure Kindiki or Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

By the time of going to press, all possible nominees including House Speaker Justin Muturi, Prof. Kithure Kindiki, Hon Rigathi Gachagua and Governor Anne Waiguru were locked up in discussions at the Deputy President’s Karen residence.

The Independent and Boundaries Commission IEBC had extended the deadline for all candidates to Monday 16th May 2022. On the other hand, ODM leader and Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya presidential aspirant Raila Odinga is expected to announce his running mate tomorow 15th May 2022 at a rally at the Kamukunji Grounds or at a separate event on Monday.
