Africa’s fastest sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala qualified for the semi finals of 100 metres at the World Athletics in Oregon despite his tight travel schedule.
Omanyala finished third by clocking 10:10 to coming after Japan’s Sami Brown in 9:98 and New Zealand’s Edward Osei Nketia 10:08 who were 1st and 2nd respectively.

The 100 metres semis and and final are schedule for Sunday morning Kenyan time where Omanyala will face US top favourite Fred Kerley, Zharmel Hughes of Great Britain and Travyon Bromell among others.
