IEBC & stakeholders in Athens Greece to monitor ballot printing

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission and a team of stakeholders team are in Greece to visit the Inform Lykos (Hellas) SA Company’s factory premises in Athens and witness the printing, packaging, and delivery process of ballot papers for the August 9th general elections.

Upon arrival, the monitoring team was taken through a detailed briefing of the production process, highlighting key production points by the factory staff, who also addressed queries raised related to production and delivery timelines and security.

The monitoring delegation are to witness in writing by ticking a checklist for completion of several key production points including sign-off of the printer ballot proofs, commencement of the print runs, stitching of the ballot pads, packaging, and delivery.
