Martha Karua calls for immediate audit of COVID-19 funds

Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua has called for an immediate audit of the Covid 19 funds.  While addressing the press today in Nairobi, the former Gichugu member of parliament accused the jubilee government of mismanaging billions meant for Covid-19 kitty including donor funds alleging that the government has abandoned the people to fend for themselves.

“We demand full disclosure, transparency, and accountability for all COVID- 19 funds, resources and equipment from all sources including loans, grants, donations and in-kind support both locally and internationally,” said Martha Karua.

According to Karua the government has financially collapsed and continues to impose high taxes on its citizens without necessarily offering quality services to Kenyans. The move follows recent media reports alleging that the Ministry of health in conjunction with KEMSA were engaging in irregular tendering of Covid-19 equipment.
