A middle aged mother has been electrocuted together with her young baby strapped at the back in Ukunda, Kombani area, Kwale county.
The accident happened today in the afternoon and it is alleged that the woman stepped on a live wire while on her errands.From the pictures in our possession, it seems the fallen electric poles have been lying in that area unattended for some days hence posing danger to the passers by.The unidentified woman can be seen lying dead on those live wires.
In a press statement, Kenya power and Lighting Company recognized the unfortunate incident and regretted the occurrence.They condoled with the family and promised to investigate the matter to conclusion and take appropriate action.
