Kenya records the highest Covid-19 cases since the Pandemic began

The Kenyan Ministry of Health on Thursday 23rd July announced the highest number of covid-19 cases in a single day since the Coronavirus pandemic began.  Out of the total sample of 6,794 tested in the last 24 hours, a total of 794 cases have been found positive. This now brings the number of positive cases in the country to 15,601.

Also, the ministry of health has announced that 3 more people have succumbed to the virus bringing the total deaths to 263.Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Mercy Mwangangi has urged Kenyans to continue taking precautions such as wearing face masks and keeping social distance in a bid to fight the disease.

To reduce the rate of infections amongst the healthcare workers, the ministry officials have gone ahead to encourage doctors and nurses to don their Personal Protective Equipment(PPEs) whenever they are handling Covid-19 patients. More than 500 healthcare workers have been infected with the corona virus.
