ODM leader Raila Odinga says the Building Bridges Initiative process should be concluded immediately, now that the Corona virus infection curve is on a downward spiral.
The former Prime Minister said this during a meeting with the Maa leaders from Kajiado County at his Capitol Hill office, where they discussed the BBI agenda.
The opposition baron, stated that time was ripe for BBI to take root around the country, and he is optimistic the Covid-19 curve will continue to flatten to allow for full reopening of the country for more political activities.
“It is not too distant into the future. We are going to reopen the country and they ( The Maa leaders ) agree with me that there is a need to move speedy and conclude the BBI agenda.” said Raila.
Other than BBI, Mr. Odinga touched on the war on corruption that was taking root in some counties and urged the leaders to stand firm against the fight on graft.
He assured the citizens from the north that the handshake with President Uhuru was keen to ensure the interest of all communities were put into consideration and adequately taken care of .
Last weekend Raila and his allies met leaders from Kakamega county in what observers termed as the return of the nationwide BBI meetings.
The ODM leader was accompanied by Suna East MP , Junet Mohammed among other top officials from Kajiado county.
