“The greatest opportunity that the US have to travel internationally is to Kenya” – McCarter.
As the country gears to open its international borders, the US Ambassador to Kenya has released a video urging US visitors to Kenya.
“There’s no better place to travel than Kenya.” Says Ambassador McCarter adding that the country has put in place protocols that protects people and ensures their safety anywhere in the country.
The Ambassador’s announcement is shot in the arm to the Kenyan tourism industry as the country gears to allow international flights on 1st August 2020. According to a survey by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance, Kenya’s tourism and education sectors are the most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With almost 3 million cases, the US is among the countries that will not be permitted to the EU due to the country’s rising covid 19 infection rate. Other countries such as Russia, Brazil and India, where infection rates remain high, have been blocked from visiting the 27 member states EU bloc.
