Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has alleged that certain people have been trailing him of late due to his stand on the revenue division bill.
While speaking today at the Senate, Mr.Sakaja revealed that in two different occasions, he has encountered some vehicles tracing him. “On Friday I was being trailed by a police vehicle and I raised the matter with the Inspector General of Police.Today I sat in my car in the Senate basement from 5AM to midday.I will not be intimidated, i will stand for one Kenya,” said Sakaja.
The revenue allocation debate has proven divisive with Senators in the house taking hard-line stands and voting against the Kang’ata led proposal.Today marks the seventh time the formula was discussed in the Senate with no meaningful conclusion.The Senators adjourned the motion to deliberate further in a bid to try to settle for a formula agreeable to all parties.
