ODM leader Raila Odinga has announced that the requisite number of counties required for a referendum will be attained on Tuesday 23rd February and asked Kenyans to prepare to vote for the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2020 in June.
Speaking on Saturday during a funeral in Ndhiwa, Raila described the day as ‘Super Tuesday’ and called upon those opposing the Building Bridges Initiative to stay on the other side. “We’re telling doubting Thomases who have been fighting BBI to continue doing so. They shouldn’t change their mind until we meet at the ballot,” Raila said.
Raila spoke during the burial of the former clerk of Homa Bay county council Zachery Origa at Ratanga in Ndhiwa.
