The Deputy Governor of Kericho Susan Kikwai died on 20th March 2021 morning at the Shiloam Hospital where she has been undergoing treatment for covid-19 complications. This was announced by the Kericho county communications office.
Kikwai who served as the managing director of the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest) under the Ministry of Finance from 2005 to 2012, was serving her second term having been elected in 2013.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence to the family and people of Kericho describing Kikwai as a devoted public servant who was deeply committed to the wellbeing and progress of the Kenyan nation.
