KANU, Wiper, Ford-Kenya & ANC launch One Kenya Alliance

Wiper, KANU, ANC, and Ford Kenya political parties announced the formation of One Kenya Alliance as a joint vehicle to contest the upcoming 2022 general elections.

The leaders including Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya eader Moses Wetangula, KANU leader Gideon Moi and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi spoke at a joint presser held at the Serena Hotel on 25th March 2021. They vowed to hit the ground running after the measures announced to curb coronavirus infections are eased by the government.

“Today we mark the beginning of a journey to unite all Kenyans and it is clear that the county is keen on a new transformational agenda that not only unites Kenyans but also creates greater inclusivity,” said Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka used the occasion to condemned the Senate Parliamentary Group meeting that removed Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala  from the Senate Deputy Minority leader on 24th March 2021.

KANU leader Gideon thanked the Jubilee party for supporting the alliance during the recent March 4 by elections that saw the alliance candidates win the Matungu and Kabuchai constituencies through ANC and Ford Kenya, and in Kitise/Kithuku Ward seat which went to Wiper. They also announced that they will support Jubilee party candidates in the upcoming Juja, Bonchari, and Garissa

The event was also attended by Governor Joseph Ole Lenku of Kajiado and former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
