Ngirici settles on Eliud Wanjao as running mate for Kirinyaga

Kirinyaga gubernatorial aspirant Wangui Ngirichi has appointed former Kenya Revenue Authority Commissioner Eliud Wanjao as running mate in the August 9th elections. The two will be vying as independent candidates after Wabgui left the United Democratic Alliance following stiff competition from Governor Anne Waiguru who appeared to be a favourite of Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA party.

A native of Ndia Kirinyaga county, Wanjao is a professional accountant and an accomplished public servant who rose through the ranks at the Kenya Revenue Authority from a junior officer to senior commissioner before he resigned and ventured into businesses. Wanjao, besides being a professional accountant, is a renowned industrialist with an interest in manufacturing building products.
