Azimio presidential flagbearer’s wife Dr Ida Odinga has hosted Wellington Otieno a form three student of Masikonde Day School in Narok who hosted the former prime Minister his handmade state house miniature at her home in Karen.
Ida who was a teacher, recognised the importance of art in one’s life, stating that it strengthens students’ critical thinking and promised to sponsor the boy’s secondary school education through her Linda Kesho initiative.. “Today I am inspired by a form 3 student at Masikonde Day School in Narok who designed & built a miniature @StateHouseKenya dummy. #Art strengthens critical thinking, through #LindaKesho I commit to ensuring that Wellington & other talented children like him stay in school.” said Ida on her social media handle.
The boy’s mother Jael Achieng had earlier expressed disappointment that her her son did not receive the much-needed recognition for his great work.
