Interior CS Fred Matiangi answers Ruto on polls allegations

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has asked Kenyans to ignore Deputy President William Ruto’s recent outbursts and focus on Tuesday’s elections.

Addressing the press at the Administration Police Training Centre in Utawala, Matiangi responded to recent claims by Deputy President William Ruto that the government was planning to cause chaos during the upcoming elections. He said that the security agencies are ready to maintain peace and security during the elections and assured Kenyans not to worry about their security.

Responding to recent claims from Kenya Kwanza politicians that their lives were in danger, the interior minister asked all aspirants who require more security to report to the Inspector General of Police who will enhance their security.

“When it comes to policy and implementation of government policy, we stick to the position the president has taken” Said Matiangi
