Kenyan 800 metres runner Mary Moraa won a second Gold for Kenya after running what has been described as a strange race to win at 1:57.07.
The 22 year old Moraa led at the opening of the race but dropped at the bottom of the group went straight into the lead in the opening lap.
However she strangely dropped to the bottom of the group consisting of home girl Keeley Hodgkinson, Jamaican Natoya Goule, 500m specialist Laura Muir of Scotland and four others.
She later regained her energy and powered her way to the front as the race with a remarkable final sprint that left everyone bewildered. She bagged a Gold medal followed by Hodgkinson who got silver while Muir got bronze followed closely by Goule.
Moraa had won bronze two weeks ago at the World Championship in Eugene, Oregon.
