A Kenyan nurse working in Toronto has died while swimming in a pool in Canada. Hellen Wendy Nyabuto was swimming while her mobile phone was recording and streaming live on Facebook. She kept diving in the pool, holding her face beneath the water for several seconds before swimming back to read comments on the live video.
Wendy tells her live audience that she is having the time of her life in Canada. “How are you guys doing? Long time no see. Its 2:30pm here and I am just enjoying myself before summer comes to an end,” Wendy is heard saying. “How is life for you guys now that UDA won the elections?
Ten minutes and thirty three seconds after she began recording herself, Wendy started gasping for air and could be heard making gurgling sounds while kicking and screaming. She made the last sound as the video went silent and the water remained still.
The video kept streaming for three hours before an unidentified men who noticed her body lying at the the bottom of the pool. “That looks so realistic, it scared the hell out of me but I think it’s a poodle. Does that freak you out or what?” one of the men can be heard asking his companion when he noticed Wendy’s body.
According to her profile Wendy claims she graduated from the Toronto Metropolitan University after studying oncology nursing at Pwani University. Her body was retrieved and ferried to a morgue in Toronto pending postmortem.
