ODM leader Raila Odinga has jetted in from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he was admitted for a minor back surgery.
Mr Odinga jetted in the country on Sunday evening 12 July aboard a luxurious private airline airbus. The airbus landed at Jomo Kenyatta International airport (JKIA) Sunday evening at 9:50 PM, EA time, from Al Maktoum International airport in Dubai.
On Thursday 9 July, the Orange Democratic Movement (Odm) party deputy leader Ali Hassan Joho together with the minority whip Junet Mohammed left the country to Dubai to check on Odinga’s health progress.
Earlier, hus elder brother Dr Oburu Odinga had confirmed that his brother was admitted to a German hospital in Dubai.
“Jakom (Raila) is out of the country for a minor surgical operation on his back. It’s not a serious health issue but just a minor one, so he is ok.” Oburu said.
Raila’s return is very significant in the country’s politics as he is set to join President Uhuru Kenyatta to receive the BBI report from the BBI committee anytime from now.
