Ugenya youth threaten to sue the MP for awarding tenders to his siblings

Ugenya member of parliament Hon. David Ochieng has once again found himself at loggerheads with some youths over the mismanagement of the tendering process.

One contractor by the name Mr. Robert Owino claims that he applied for a school contract with two other companies and according to him, one of those companies is allegedly linked to the blood brother of Ugenya legislator Mr. David Ochieng. “Yesterday they fixed a tender to one MDG die-hard Mr OWINO Ushanga from Ukwala at Muhwayo primary school.Today they fixed it to David Ouma Ochieng’s blood brother Mr Hillary Ochieng with his wife Joan thinking that am going to hesitate,” said Mr. Robert.

“The pain we go through as contractors is unmatched when an mp directs his CDF officials to award his blood brother tenders. We will not allow that to happen,” stated Mr. Owino who vowed not to be threatened by both the mp and the CDF officials.

The contractor has now sworn to utilize all the available means including going to court to demand for his rights while emphasizing that CDF tenders are not a family affair. He has further challenged the mp to take legal action if he feels offended so that he can prove his allegations on the anomaly in the corridors of justice.
