The Central Organisation of Trade Union secretary general Dr Francis Atwoli has joined David Murathe, the Jubilee party vice chairman in endorsing the Orange Democratic Movement (Odm) party leader Raila Odinga for presidency in 2022.
Just a day after Murathe had asked Kenyans to prepare for Raila’s presidency in 2022, the COTU secretary general Atwoli supported and endorsed Mr Odinga while hosting his political friends that included Siaya senator James Orengo and Jubilee party vice chairman David Murathe at his home in Kajiado.
Atwoli said that Raila is the man who can bring the country together, and cannot apply political revenge as he is an old person who has fought for this country for years.
“It is only Raila Odinga who can bring this country together. He has created a big departure from corruption, he has fought for this country. He is now an old person, he will be caring and he is a man who cannot apply political revenge.” Atwoli said.
The COTU boss’s endorsement comes a day after Jubilee party vice chairman Murathe had asked Kenyans to get ready for Odinga’s presidency in 2022. Murathe said that Raila deserves a reward for his lifetime sacrifices he has made for this nation.
