ODM leader leader Raila Odinga has mourned the departed frontline medic Doreen Adisa Lugaliki who succumbed to the covid 19 virus.
“My deep condolences to family and colleagues of Doreen Adisa who succumbed to Covid-19 . Her death is a painful reminder of the sacrifices health workers make so that we may live. Our best tribute to Doreen is to avoid reckless behavior to contain the disease. We owe you Doreen.” Tweeted Raila Odinga.
In his message of condolence to the family of the late medic, Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga Amotho tweeted “The @siayagovt notes with deep regret the demise of one of the country’s foremost frontline Health Service Providers, Ms. Doreen Adisa, following COVID-19 related complications. To the family, friends, colleagues, we send our utmost condolences”.
The death of Dr. Adisa, the first of a Kenyan doctor from coronavirus plunged the medical fraternity and sorority into mourning with about 200 other doctors battling the virus across the country. Lugaliki contracted the virus in the line of duty since her workstation had had two doctors with the virus, making her a primary contact.
