In a bold move shortly after his inauguration, U.S. President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to announce the dismissal of four senior officials appointed by the previous administration.
In his first post since assuming office, Trump stated, “My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again.”
The officials dismissed include:
- Jose Andres, member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition
- Mark Milley, from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council
- Brian Hook, associated with the Wilson Center for Scholars
- Keisha Lance Bottoms, from the President’s Export Council
Trump issued an “Official Notice of Dismissal” for these individuals and warned that many more would follow. He concluded his announcement with his signature phrase, “YOU’RE FIRED!”, reminiscent of his tenure on the reality TV show “The Apprentice.”
As the new administration sets its agenda, the dismissal of these officials signals a significant shift in personnel and policy direction.
