Machakos Senator David Mutinda Kabaka who had been taken ill in a Nairobi hotel died on Friday 11th December 2020. According to reports, the Senator was rushed to Nairobi hospital from the 3Dee Apartments in Nairobi where he he suddenly fell ill in the company of a female friend by the name Esther Nthenya Muli.
According to Esther, the senator complained of severe headache while in the apartment and asked her to look for paracetamols. However, the pain worsened and she informed the management who called an ambulance and rushed the legislator to Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit until his death on Friday.
Several leaders led by former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka condoled with the family at the Lee Funeral Home where the body is being kept. Kalonzo asked the media to stop speculating on the cause of dearth saying the Senator’s family were going through very agonizing moments.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, former President Mwai Kibaki and Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua sent their condolence to the family of the late legislator.
