Principal Secretary for Interior Raymond Omollo has urged Kenyan leaders to move away from negative criticism of the government and instead support its initiatives. Speaking in Rarieda constituency on Saturday, he stressed that leaders have a duty to be accountable and responsible in their conduct.
Omollo expressed concern about the pervasive negativity directed at the government, stating that it has infiltrated society. He called for a united effort to counter this trend. Additionally, he encouraged students who recently completed their KCSE examinations to pursue higher education, noting the government’s substantial investments in the education sector.
“Let us support those who need to go to universities or TVETs. This administration has invested significantly in education,” Omollo asserted.
The PS also commended Azimio leader Raila Odinga for providing President William Ruto with the necessary time and environment to effectively deliver services. He called on residents of Nyanza to extend similar patience to their elected leaders, allowing them to fulfill the development promises made during the last election campaigns.
Omollo’s statements highlight the need for unity and collaboration among leaders and citizens alike as the government continues its efforts to drive national progress. His remarks serve as a reminder of the crucial role that positive engagement plays in shaping the future of Kenya.
