The Public Transporters Association of Kenya has announced a 20% fare increase effective today.
The association says the increase is as a result of the continued fuel increase which has negatively affected their businesses for the last three months.
Other transport companies in routes going to areas like Marsabit have already increased fares by upto 50%.
