America divided as Supreme Court throws out Roe v. Wade

The decision by the US Supreme Court to throw out Roe V Wade has left the United States of America divided on abortion. Demonstrations have erupted from coast to coast in US states from anger over the decision by pro choice to celebrations by prolife activists.

The decision has spelt the immediate end of abortion access in states like Alabama and 8 other states while clinics in three other states have stopped giving the service. Doctors who perform the procedure in these states could face up to 10 years in jail.

The political fallout in the US has began as the country face the mid term elections with President Joe Biden calling on voters to elect Legislators who will protect the rights of women to make decisions regarding their bodies.
