Cairo Summit for Peace underway in Egyptian Capital: Jordan’s King Abdullah calls for Justice and Peace

The much-anticipated Cairo Summit for Peace commenced yesterday in the Egyptian capital, bringing together key regional leaders in a concerted effort to foster harmony and stability in the Middle East. Among the notable participants, Jordan’s King Abdullah II delivered a poignant address, emphasizing the need for regional unity and cooperation to address the pressing challenges faced by the region.

In his speech, King Abdullah said the application of international law and human rights must be applied to both Isareli and Palestine civilians and called for the enuivocal dispalemect of millions of civilians in Gaza calling it a war crime. “Israeli leadership must realize once and for all that a state cannot thrive if its built on the foundation of injustice” Said King Abdullah

Abdullah highlighted the importance of establishing a comprehensive framework for peace, one that is built upon mutual respect, dialogue, and understanding. He stressed that the time has come for nations to set aside their differences and embrace a collective vision for a prosperous and secure Middle East.

The Jordanian monarch expressed deep concern over the persistent conflicts and crises plaguing the region, underscoring the urgent need for a renewed commitment to diplomacy and peaceful resolution of disputes. He emphasized that dialogue and negotiation are essential tools for bridging gaps and building trust among nations.

King Abdullah also addressed the issue of terrorism and extremism, acknowledging the devastating toll they have taken on the region. He called for a united front against these common threats, urging leaders to work together to combat radical ideologies and promote a message of moderation and tolerance.

Furthermore, the Jordanian King reiterated his country’s unwavering support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, emphasizing that a just and lasting resolution is vital for regional stability. He encouraged all stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue and take concrete steps towards the realization of a viable and independent Palestinian state alongside a secure Israel.

King Abdullah concluded his address by expressing optimism about the outcomes of the Cairo Summit for Peace.
