It is alleged that the county boss dumped sewage at the Nyamarambe Stadium in a bid to prevent the meeting from happening. However, Nyanza Daily could not fully verify whether it was Governor Ongwae that poured the Sewage or it was stage managed to gain political sympathy.
In his tweet, Ruto’s pointman in the region Mr. Sylvanus Osoro wrote: “That was too low of you GOV. Ongwae.Pouring Sewage at the Nyamarambe Stadium ahead of our function is NOT even disrespecting DP, but the women of South Mugirango who invited DP for a function.Your ‘son’ will also visit Bomet/Nakuru/Eldoret/Kericho and other areas SOME DAY.Tolerance is MARURITY.”
DP’s visit to the region comes two days after hosting a delegation of elected leaders from Kisii region at his Karen home to solidify his support base in Kisii region ahead of the 2022 General Elections.
